Equipment on P8's "Freedom Plus?"

I'm slowly dipping my toes into VoIP, and I signed up for P8's Freedom Plus plan, basically because it was the cheapest. Do they still send a Cisco ATA with it? I ask because the carrier says "digital download," so I'm wondering if I have to bring my own.

If they don't send an ATA on the cheep-o one, can I e-mail customer service, ask to change to the $20 plan and then have them send a box over?

Thanks,
Wes

No, Packet8 will send you a DTA-310 which is made by another branch of the parent company.

Oh, ok .. So I still get a box, at least? Suits me just fine, I was just under the (mistaken) impression that all of them were Cisco boxes. Still have that term stuck in my head from looking into VoIP way back when.

Packet8 uses a Telephone adapter (they call it a DTA) that is manufactured by their company. Vonage and VoicePulse use an ATA-186 manufactured by Cisco.
