After going over to the sonic.net site, It appears that you have an EOA (ethernet over ATM) connection.
I am not sure that the Westell will support this protocol. If you follow all the configuration instructions posted on the site for the Broadmax, you might get it to work, but I doubt it, because there is nothing to configure in the bridged ethernet mode on the Westell.
You might be able to use a router behind the Westell to do the configuration and setup the EOA, Perhaps someone else here knows a bit more. -- Best of luck

| Correct, Sonic.net uses Ethernet over ATM. There is nothing to configure, and no authentication to do (eg. no software to run).
Basically, the modem just needs to unencapsulate the ATM connection, and let the Ethernet come out. (heh, I'm in metaphors today). There's no PPPoE or anything-else-oE
That's why I was sure a PPPoE model with Bridged Ethernet support would work fine. Right now I'm using a borrowed Efficient 5660 (extended reach even) in bridged mode. But I gotta return it.
I'm still awaiting help from support@westell.com (their site sucks for support) I just hope that support address doesn't get routed to the big hungry alligator at /dev/null.
Well, there's always eBay to buy as well as SELL, right? ... (grimmacing at that thought)
