tampabay.rr.com brighthouse user, still 2mbps.... toady is oct 3.
Might have to start researching DSL alternatives, sure it may be slower, but at least I should have no limit cap (besides xfer speed) and save some cash for christmas time :P |

| They were going to do it, from what I understand there's some concern about commercial customers who pay good money for that bandwidth now. There also going to raise the upstream as well to 768k. I'm not saying I agree or disagree, but it's still being worked out. And no, the update that happened a few weeks ago with all the modems was supposed to be the update but it was cancelled at the last minute, they did update the modem.bin files but it was for something else. It's still being worked on, at least in Tampabay. But thats all I know [text was edited by author 2003-10-05 08:51:54] |

| I'm not in the industry or anything, but just from reading this forum, the notice posted above seems pretty consistent with the wording used by Time Warner in response to bandwidth questions in other areas, too.
So while I too will be very disappointed if Bright House doesn't give us the increase (ESPECIALLY UP!!!), I don't think this rather vague comment from corporate is any indication, good or bad. And it does suck we're last!!! >:P |
