Re: AVG Site Problem?

lol, I hear you. I also run AVG on a Win95a box on a 1.6 GB drive. Glad it's working out for you

Yes, I had gotten the serial number several times. I finally took to amusing myself with bogus names on subsequent attempts.
It installed fine, and I'm pleased so far.
It's getting darn hard to find software that will run on win95, and having a whopping 1.6 gig hd means I appreciate the lack of bloat.

Seems to be working now. I got clear to the Registration page....but didn't go further,

you had to go further than the registration page to get the 404.

It's up and running today, was able to DL.
Good to hear Did you get your serial number? Some were downloading it but never received the serial to install it.

I am able to get through the several pages to get to the point of download, and that's where it stops...that last click.

I finally raised Grisoft's home page. The links along the left margin worked, but the links at the top were numb. When one of those links did anything at all[rarely], it merely produced a page with headings, but the body was blank.

After searching for virus protection for my win95 laptop, I settled on AVG free version after some browsing through the postings. I have been unable to DL it from the Grisoft website either monday or tuesday(I get a 404 when it gets to the point of DL). Are they having problems? Does anyone know of an alternate site to DL from?
thanx
