This is irrelevant cos fdisk/mbr does not fix such error nor causes such error. Fdisk/mbr fixes problem with the boot drive. I am suspecting that your Jacs paint shop photo album is acessing the f drive which not longer exists.

It is not just Jasc, there are a few appz that are acting like this. I recently tried VMWare, I get this same error while tring to install it. No upgrades of it, just a fresh install.
