Re: TIP: Add Folder Security tab to XP Home

I'm just a dumb old country boy. I don't know anything about the code that this was compiled with. I make no claims as to my computer expertise.
All I know is that I installed it, I'm using it, it works fine for me, and it does not interfere in any way with the Security tab functions in Safe Mode.
I do trust the tips Doug Knox posts on his site and his word that it worked for him was enough for me to try it on my computer. After I tried it out for myself and was satisfied that it worked, I posted it here for anyone that wanted to try it out.
If anyone has any concerns about this doing any damage to their computer then by all means don't do it.

Just my uninformed opinion,

Hey, no problem; my opinion isn't all that informed -- you've actually run it, so you've put some miles on this tip. If I get a chance to try that out in the next couple of weeks on an XP Home install, I will.

A question, if you don't mind: Have you changed the security on any files/folders, and if so, how? For example, have you denied access to particular accounts or changed any of the granular settings for a particular account?

Thanks,

Philip Sloss
