[Outlook] How do I obtain an MS Hotfix?

I have a problem with Outlook 2000 after applying Office SP3 where I get an error when attempting to save an attachment. I found a KB article (KB810646) which says that there's a Hotfix for it...but how the heck do I obtain it? Is the only way is to contact MS? Can't I just download them somewhere? Or do I need to do a Update? What are my options?

Thanks in advanced!

Usually, hot fixes can be found on the MS website. It appears, in this instance, that the problem is so new, and the solution so specific to a certain problem, that they want you to call, probably to verify that what you are experiencing is related to the issue detailed in that particular article. They suggest, if possible, that customers wait until the next SP is released.

If you need to call them, go ahead, if they ask for your CC, just tell them you need the hotfix 810646, they should patch you right through and give you the url to download it with.

The number you need to call is: (800) 936-4900

As I said it should be no charge if you tell them you are calling for the KB article hotfix you need.
