MLOK5My Reality Check BouncedPremium,MVM join:2000-08-17 Plano, TX | Technique! Week 16 Welcome to Technique! Week 16. Week 15 is officially closed for new photos.
The goal of this thread is for one of the members of the forum to share a photographic technique with the rest of the forum. Then we can all practice this technique & upload our results. The technique doesn't have to be limited to digital editing. It can be related to other things as well, like exposure, depth-of-field, etc.
An ongoing list of these techniques can be found here.
Any takers this week? |

I have simple technique that I use in Photoshop to create silhouettes of photos I have taken that can sometimes create an interesting effect. First find a subject that you would like to make into a silhouette. Then select it out of the photo and place it on a layer with a white background. Then desaturate the image that you selected out. Then go to the "brightness/contrast" controls and adjust the brightness all the way down to zero. Then adjust the contrast level up to it's maximum level. This should turn the image black making a perfect silhouette of your selected image. In some cases the image could have some white spots left in it. All you have to do is to paint the white spots in with black and you're done. Good luck. I have before and after examples posted here. -- My Web Site is Here.
