Re: Azle, TX Earthlink DSL?

the cable company and the phone company have been saying you can either get broadband now, or within the next few months in azle for years.

i honestly think a lot of their motive is to keep you from investing in wireless or satellite before they do finally get out here. they don't seem to care if it means you spend another year or two on dial-up... as long as they get your money in te long run.

Last I talked with Charter they stated that Cable internet access should be available by the start or end of December.
They already have some nodes setup in Azle, I don't have physical knowledge of this, just from what Stan Gunn told me (Charter tech that visits the Dslreports Charter Forums and has a Texas Charter Support Board).

Now, if Charter is not in my area by the end of December, have no idea why my area would be so late since I'm right next to a HUGE community and the High School, then I am looking to go back to wireless with Wiacomm Ronnie, thats if they have upgraded their hardware to support gamers as myself.

i know Charter did just get running on the other side of the lake, in the lake country area.. so they are still progressing. They could probably be a little more conservative in their time estimates

as far as a Wiacomm equipment upgrade... we are working on something that we hope to have running by the end of the year, but it will not be in the same location, and i am not sure whether or not it will reach your house. I should know a little more on this in the next few weeks.

Hopefully you will be able to get online one way or another next month

Ronnie, I just got a call from a lady looking for Service in Azle. I gave her Wiacomm's web site, and phone Number. I figured you guys may be able to help her out.

Thanks!

Thanks, Brent. I got a call this morning from a lady looking for service who will be moving to Azle early in December. Probably your friend. Word-of-mouth is great!
