Zhen-XjellProlific BunnyPremium,VIP,ExMod 2001-04 join:2000-10-08 Bordentown, NJ | Web Washer Feedback I just sent the following feedback to the Web Washer team. I have now removed Cookie Wall. What I should do is find a program to look at the neutral cookies to see if they are really expired. But why would they remain?
I must say, the cookies I have set to block (which is all), does indeed work.
Hello,
My name is Zhen-Xjell and I am a member of DSL Reports. Recently we have been discussing web washer in great length.
Some threads:
»OK.. I'm stumped!
»More Crumbling Cookies
»WebWasher™ question
»Web Bugs - Block em...
»Cookie Pal - Big Problem
»Web Washer Mem Usage - Win2k
As you can see, I'm a big advocate for your program. I have one concern. I have set, for instance, some domains to the "?" neutral setting, set to expire in 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, those cookies are still on my hard drive and not removed. Why is this?
Sincerely,
Zhen-Xjell |

I will eventuly get sofware to do that for me but so far I just clear my cache daily myself of all I know I don't need or want to keep.
Gives me a big idea of who is droping what on me. -- Never give up! |

If I set it to "finishing the browsing session", no cookies are actually installed on the system, yet I am stil label to use the ones I have labeled as neutral.

Hello Zhen,
the cookie which you have set to '?' will remain as an expired cookie on your harddrive. That means it cannot be read from the webserver which has set it. Netscape has a routine which clears all expired cookies from time to time. IE does not have this routine.
