Re: Installation progressing

Thought about that but I'll have to make sure it does not burn out! Light bulbs tend to not like temperature variations too much!

If your going to have electricity in the box just wire in a small light. Plenty of heat to keep it from freezing.

Setup of the networking equipment
The decision has been made. We are getting electricity installed on the vacant lot next to the neighbour in the above picture. I have configured the bridge and router, it's ready to go in. I hope to hear back from our cable company this week. We are going to build a steel box and insulate it. I am hoping that the heat generaged from the modem, AP and power supplies will be enough to keep it above zero degrees C. I figure if I make the box about 1 foot square and insulate it with 2" styrofoam I should be OK. A telephone pole is being installed to accomodate the power company's entry. We will mount the Modem, AP and power outlet on that same pole.

Engeneer doing site visit this AM

The cable company just called and they are visiting the business for a follow up visit (possibly visit neighbour) this morning. The president of the business has already contacted the neighbour located at 66 rte 321 to have initial discussions. Things are looking promissing.

I'll keep you posted.
