Where's Mark? Or am I missing something?

Click for full size
Is it just me, or is this picture missing something?

Any guesses on where it went?

I'm not sure this is a New Feature Requests, but yes, it seems to be missing

It will be back, and better.

There will be a transition period for a day, where things might be a bit odd, but anything you 'marked' prior to today, is still 'marked' and will not be lost.

Maybe in response to this request? »Click the wrong line!

If so, thanks Justin. If not, I hope the two get separated a little anyhow.:)

looks like it is now down by the topic reply button. should work great there, except for those people who do not seem to realize a topic reply button exists!

That's great as far as I'm concerned! Thanks Justin, I won't click the wrong button with it down there.

clicking "Follow this topic" will have it show under our "Posts" page whenever the thread is updated, right?

Great addition to the posts page!
but isnt the problem the same...cant someone hit "follow this thread" instead of "topic reply"
i can see this causing a bigger problem than misclicking on top.

I noticed that whenever i reply to a thread, the thread gets followed/marked

WHY?
this is not good.

No this is great. Because naturally you will want to follow topics you post in. Otherwise why did you post in them. You can always un-follow.

The default/most popular view of topics presented by /postlist will move from just topics you postd in, that have updates, to topics you "follow", that have updates.

If you are concerned about bookmarks, thats a different issue. You'll get a different ability to bookmark topics later, from your collection of followed topics.

Oh wow that is kind of cool now that I think about it. You'll then have a history of every post you ever made, right? Too bad this wasn't implemented sooner.

I definitely do want to separate these from my "bookmarked" topics though.

Thanks

at some stage later, you'll get the ability to see just bookmarks and choose which are so.

It isn't every post you ever made, its every topic you ever posted in, slight difference.

Justin, thanks for implementing this -- it's been requested for a while, and is really a great feature. If it's not too much trouble (if it is, very happy as is ), would it be possible to have the yellow "mark" symbol appear next to marked threads like the little "note" symbol appears next to threads we've posted in? That way we could tell at a glance about the status of threads.

Whether you can implement this or not, thanks bunches.

How long before I can turn this off? It's filling my marked threads list with crap. I certainly do NOT want to save every topic I ever post in. In the technical forums this is completely, utterly, intrusively useless if you are trying to help someone.

Sorry to be cranky boy again but this should be strictly an opt-in.
