| reply to Johnny_M Re: Norvergence saves you money
Johnny M,
I truly understand that no matter who I have service from, I OWN nothing. I am simply paying a price ( rent, a lease, whatever) for the use of the lines and the network. Clearly, there are deals all the time, and most of them lock you in for a period of 1 or 2 years, with stiff exit fees. The 5 year deal here is a little long, but again, I recognize that there is no basic difference from my deal with my Verizon reseller....except ONE. NorVerence doesn't stay on the contract, and the leasing company only leases me the box.....which accomplishes nothing if there isn't payment of the monthly fees for the cellular and other service I am getting. From what has been posted above, I need to have that payment made every month or my service is toast!
When I thought that NorVergence was paying 5 years up front I was less concerned. Hey...just tell me exactly what happens if I sign up and NorVergence goes away...either because they go out of business, or the dish runs away with the spoon? Please don't answer, "well they are growing...blah, blah, blah", or "Hey they aren't going anywhere". Just answer the question honestly. I may still go with them, but I really need to understand the risks first, so I am not caught with my pants down. |

| Johnny M & Buduan are employees of Norv. so all you will ever hear from them is "well they are growing...blah, blah, blah", or "Hey they aren't going anywhere". That is what they are told to post here, the head script writer at Norv. probably came up with their B.S. |

Now didn't I tell you to go back under the bridge until you could find something useful to say? |

| reply to shilkshock As I stated much earlier in the thread, Yes, I would like to sell this product in the role of an Agent, but I will never work as a direct employee of a telecom company again. There is no need to. My commissions and current income are not affected by this 800 Lb gorilla as much as yours must be, but a year or so down the road, they may be. That is why I am looking farther down the road. I do think that they are shaking up the telecom world with this way of doing things, by reading this thread it is obvious. But that's business - Adapt or get left behind.
When I talk to my peers in the industry, they all agree that the competitive carriers will need to change the way they operate to deal with this new environment. NorV will not run out of potential customers any time soon. As long as the other competitive carriers are still selling, NorV will have a steady diet of customers, probably yours. |

| The Truth about the "Killer Box" Norvergence Sells
I have spent all night reading the threads about Norvergence because I was considering pursuing employment opportunities with this "Boiler Room" company! I got to reading and then began recognizing too many similarities with ADTRAN products.
Well... Here is Norvergence's "Merged Access Transport Intelligent Xchange (MATRIX)Product they tout as the Long Awaited "Killer Application" of Voice and Data - Their words, not mine.
I just love their next statement:
"The NorVergence MATRIX Phone System was engineered and designed based on the latest Next Generation Network Technologies from the Fortune 500 in early 2000. OHH! And don't forget it comes with a generous 5 year warranty from NorVergence even though you get a 10 year warranty from Adtran!
But wait, it gets better: The company - NorVergence - was founded after a year of NDA Development in 2001 by Peter J. Salzano, Chairman and Chief Executive Office. WOW! It must have taken a whold lot of work to sign the paper saying he would by these from Adtran and just Change the name.
FOLKS... IF YOU STILL DON'T BELIEVE... YOU JUST CAN'T BE HELPED! EVEN THOUGH IT DEFIES LOGIC.. PEOPLE STILL INSIST ELVIS IS STILL ALIVE...
It will really be much easier to just purchase the box from Adtran. They made it! they have REAL customer support!, their warranty is 5 years longer that NorVergences, and Adtran really has a much nicer brochure!
What else do you need?
More? Fine!
Here is the code words folks... "NorVergence Strategic Technology Solutions Providers include: Nortel Networks, Lucent, Cisco and IBM. But, the Company is backed by Private Venture Capitalists! In other words...
We buy our equipment from REAL companies who don't know who the hell we are and we resell it under our own name after we spin a story about how many late nights our engineers stayed up.. for days... for weeks! as their dedication finally paid off with the NorVergence "MATRIX" Product... Trumpets Please!
An incredibly wise businessman once told me... "
Pete, It's not what you say, how you say it, or whether what you say is true! The ONLY thing that matters is WHAT YOU CAN GET THE CUSTOMER TO BELIEVE!" Pure Geneious MAN, PURE GENIOUS!
Good Tidings! |

| reply to Bite Me One of these screening clowns came in yesterday, this company smells of scam! The guy wouldn't answer any questions, and when pressed by me, he said it was a canned speech and his job was just to try to get me sign a mountain of paperwork, and then I would get about 5 phone calls with the real closers trying to get me to commit to 5 years of magic box payments. He said he is looking for a new job so he no problem telling me this. What a joke this company is!!!! |

| reply to Bite Me Cool! I'm gonna go buy one. And I would like you to show me how I am supposed to hook it up to get free phone calls without Norvergence. Any idea?
Should I hook it up to my $800 T1? Will I then get free calls? Where will my calls go? I ask this of you, wise man that they call "Bite Me". |

It appears that AdTran has designed the Matrix system exclusively for Norvergence:
