Re: Acronis TrueImage 7: First Impression

Does TI7 have programs starting with Windows? I saw somewhere (and can't locate it now) where someone said there are some services that run, 2 or 3 programs that are running all the time. Howie, anyone else that has looked at TI7, is this true and what is running?

Re: Acronis TrueImage 7: First Impression

Now that you mention it, I see a "TrueImage Monitor" running and it uses 1092K. Have no idea what it is but I guess I can live with it. Don't notice any slowdowns or other problems.... I will check services and see if I find any others...

[EDIT] There is also an "Acronis Scheduler 2" (1764K) but I guess this is required if you intend to do scheduled backups... I don't think having these 2 processes running should cause any problems for TI7 users, IMO.

Re: Acronis TrueImage 7: First Impression

Thanks, I'm getting geared up for the official release . The scheduler running makes sense. Maybe the monitor has something to do with tracking changes for the incremental updates. I can see some questions for support coming

That's what I think too. The incremental image feature is my favorite new addition... Just did one last night and it's completed in a few minutes.
