| [AT&T] Looking for a camera phone
I currently have a Nokia 8390, and was looking into getting a camera phone for Christmas. I was looking at this phone »www.attwireless.com/personal/pro···Number=6 but it says with 2 year agreement, so I guess you need to be a new customer to get those rebates. Is there any discount for a trade in? Or is it easier to buy it off ebay? I was looking more into the quality of the pictures from the camera. Does anyone know if theres a better phone out there with better quality for the price? Thank you for any help or suggestions! |

Cool, I am already a GSM customer. Can the rebates still apply to me? |

| reply to mattwz I have the Nokia 3650 also, i love this phone. Unlike the Panasonic GU87 (which looks like the NEC you posted), when you send pictures to your email they are big and clear. When sent to the GU87 it is still the same size as when it is on the phone. -- »www.linuxforums.info »www.nocryders.com |

| You can connect wirelessly with Bluetooth. A cheap Bluetooth adapter for your computer will run you 20 beans and is built in to some newer laptops. Well worth it IMHO. -- When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all. »netdotcom.org |

| reply to mattwz Yeah i use the infrared from the phone to my laptop also. If you try and hook up through infrared, make sure you turn it on in BIOS. -- »www.linuxforums.info »www.nocryders.com |

| reply to mattwz Thanks for the info guys. I'll probably buy the Bluetooth adapter since my laptop doesn't have IR or Bluetooth:(. Or maybe I could rig somethin up using my Palm. Sending to my Palm by IR then from the Plam to the PC. But that's kinda cheap. I'll probably just buy the Bluetooth adapter for around $20. |

| Watch out the cheap bluetooth adapters often times have bad drivers, and you have to toy with a couple different version ones to find one that works. -- "I am just like a clock upon the wall, always moving but never really going anywhere" |

| reply to Rygel What area do you live in? How is your coverage with the GSM phone? I'm currently with ATT Wireless with a TDMA phone, and my coverage is very good. But, I'm bored with my phone. I too want to get the Nokia 3650, but I'm afraid that I'll start getting dropped calls with the Nokia GSM tri-band (900/1800/1900) phone. I was just wondering how you like the GSM coverage as opposed to the TDMA coverage.
I live in the Bay Area (Northern California), by the way.
Thanks. |

| reply to mattwz I have the Panasonic GU-87. And what you see on screen is what you get on PC. The quality of the pic is ok, but small (132 x 176 pixels @ 96 dpi).
I wouldn't recommend this phone if you want quality pics.
Above is an unedited pic from my phone. -- You get what you pay for. |
