That's possible. When I first installed the driver update I didn't physically remove my card from my notebook like it recommended - I just disabled it and it installed a couple of WAN drivers and miniports in my network adapters in the hardware device manager. The device manager showed errors with 2 of the adapters, that I beleive showed it couldn't load the drivers and the Driver Provider was Funk Software, which is the supplicant for 98 & ME. It took a system restore to get that mess out. I re-installed a second time, and the extra adapters in the device manager didn't install.
I've since unchecked Odyssey and it doesn't appear to have an effect on my connection. |

| I would go further uninstall odssesy completely unnecessary for xp . Make sure you have wireless rollout(not sure if supplicant is included in that update)if not get it(the supplicant for wpa)then update router and card:) |

That "odyssesy network services" that was installed as part of the updated WPC54g is used with the WLAN Monitor |

Looks like wi-fi.org also doesn't think the wusb11 is certified for WPA:
