| they just want your money
fact of the matter is, competition is good and as long as there is Satellite, MSO's will be forced to stay competitive. In my area (western NY), cable is very competitive, offering over 70 basic channels on as many outlets as you want for about $45. This means you can have 10 TV's in your house receiving over 70 channels and pay only $45/month. Of course if you want more, there is more, but you have to pay. DVR's are avilable for about $8 month, same for HDTV receivers, which are even cheaper! I did the research and an HDTV receiver for DTV will run you at leat $400!!!! How is that for competition. Right now both cable and DTV have their own trump cards. Cable has broadband internet service and more bandwidth than the Satellite's, but DTV has Sunday Ticket.
If you do the research you will find both have decent packages to offer depending on what you want to spend. Problem is everybody wants all the services these companies have to offer but then get upset when they find they cant afford it. Bottom line is Cable and Satellite are a luxery not a utility, if you can't afford it maybe you shouldn't have it or maybe pick a tier of service that is affordable. It's like going to Walmart and complaining to the manager that the treadmill you want is too expensive. That's ludicrous!!!
Personally, I'm a gamer and like to host games on my xbox and PC, and Satellite cant offer that. My bro is football fanatic and he has DTV with Sunday ticket, he enjoys his service, I enjoy my service, and all is well.
where am i going with this, i dont know...
I guess what I'm trying to say is, doesn't matter where you go, all they want is your money anyways!!! |
