Can't sign in to Yahoo browser

Hi,

From the Yahoo browser, whenever I try to click on any buttons (email, finance, music, etc) I'm asked to log in. But the login doesn't succeed.

I know my user name (blah@sbcglobal.net) and p/w are both correct since I can go to yahoo.com using IE and sign in with out a problem. But even after doing that, I'm still prompted to sign in from the Yahoo browser.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Thanks, FF

have you set up any subaccount/secondary email accounts? if so, can you log in with the username and password for one of these?

  Hi,

I tried the main a/c and two sub accounts.

Nothing works.

Very strange.

Any ideas?

Thanks, FF

Have you tried signing out and then signing back in? Sounds like a bad cookie.

I'm not so familiar with the yahoo stuff, but, are you sure it's not looking for a yahoo.com login as opposed to a sbcglobal.net login? do you have a free yahoo email acct? if you didn't merge the 2 you may have to login with your old blah@yahoo.com to get your old yahoo stuff as it's still treated as 2 separate accounts.

Did you tighten security on that browser? Blocking their cookies / scripts might cause this.
I don't use that particular browser myself

I never get a chance to sign out since the first thing I see when I try to open the browser is the login screen.

One time, I got a pdf file in an email message and when I opened it, it opened in the yahoo browser (not what I wanted). But I was not signed in at all and when I tried, I couldn't.

Thanks, FF

Great call!

I didn't tighten security, but I use a popup/ad blocker called Proxomitron.

When I bypassed Proxomitron, I got right in!

Thanks, FF
