I just noticed why my local call center number directed me to an 888 number: They integrated the call centers. That also explains why my usual less-than-five-second hold time turned into a 30-minute one, and that was to drop some services. |

| I don't believe hold times have increased for Tech Support, I have no real idea about sales and service calls.
The well publicised Call center consolidation will not take place until next year, so actually blaming that is a little premature.

There are 3 call centers for Power Link tech support: Colorado Springs, Coudersport, and Buffalo.
There are many more call centers for cable sales, support, and dispatch. These are the ones which are being consolidated over the next several months.
BTW, the surviving call centers are hiring more people to replace the manpower lost in the closing call centers and many in the closing centers are being offered incentives to relocate. -- Adelphia - Is it working now? |
