Luppy Premium join:2002-01-14 Randolph, MA	SB 3100 cable modem drivers or no? Does the Surfboard SB3100 require drivers for a regular ethernet card? I can't seem to find drivers anywhere on the net for this cable modem, and it may be that they aren't needed but I just don't know. Could someone verify? thanks

No drivers are needed for ethernet devices, other than the NIC (ethernet card) in your computer. In other words, if you pop a Netgear NIC in your PC, and connect a SB3100, you'll need the Netgear driver that comes with the NIC (unless your version of Windows includes a driver), but you won't need a driver for the modem itself.

The only time you need a cable modem driver is if you're connecting it with USB.
