This is the new feature requests forum. What is your new feature request?? Can you put your request into a "request" form, please?

Sure sounded like that.

Will it mean that answers will get asked again-and again because the visitor cannot search the thread?

Maybe voted threads should always be part of the quick search? And maybe some FAQs?

Probably.

And I'll happily *sign*.

Making people pay 10 bucks to be able to search posts older than 90 days isn't cool.

Re: searching ALL TIME is a premium user function

Search all time is very database intensive.

Until it becomes less so, it has to be restricted, otherwise everyone gets bogged.

Looking at most of the searches, people were using it whether or not the matches were recent issues, and they were using it with broad keywords as well.

No, I don't want to be flamed. "All time" used to be for everyone, why isn't it anymore? I know this is the requests form, so I'm requesting that for whatever reason it was changed it should be changed back.

Visitors probably don't search anyway - so it won't make much of a difference

Just use google:

site:www.broadbandreports.com "search term here"

works exactly the same....no need to complain

Re: searching ALL TIME is a premium user function

google, good as it is, does not index all posts. I think they capped out at a couple of hundred thousand pages, probably 20% of the forum topics.
But sure, you use what you have to use.

any way of giving a "priority" to premium members? I don't know if it's possible, it probably isn't.

^^ If those 2 lines were not there, would this still be a sig?

Doesn't appear to be working at all now.
