10.3.2 on SU

Just as the topic says. Was checking on the battery thing and up it popped! There's also an Apple Remote Desktop update.

Edit: Info from the SU

The 10.3.2 Update delivers enhanced functionality and improved reliability for Mac OS X v10.3 "Panther" and is recommended for all users.

Key enhancements include:

improved file sharing and directory services for mixed Mac and PC networks
more robust printing to PostScript printers
improved font management
updated Mail and Address Book applications
new ATI and NVIDIA graphics drivers
FileVault, FireWire 800, WebDAV and USB Printing improvements from Update 10.3.1
previous standalone security updates

For detailed information on this Update, please visit this website:»www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n25652

Important Note:
Apple has identified an issue with external FireWire hard drives using the Oxford 922 bridge chip-set with firmware version 1.02 that can result in the loss of data stored on the disk drive. Even with the improvements available in this update, Apple recommends you update the firmware on your FireWire drive. Please contact your drive manufacturer for more information.

What's the build number? I sent them some bug reports about Safari and autofill - still not fixed as of 7D24. It's not on my SWUD yet.

Johnny,

My concern is not being able to disable root as was discussed in the Thread Disabling root user in "Panther" .

I haven't read anything about this being fixed yet.

Ack! Alright, anybody having trouble with Safari being unable to fill in username and password on login fields where it previously had no trouble? Also, the "autofill" button for userid/password doesn't work on these sites either, and the dialog where Safari asks if you want the userid/password memorized fails to appear when you enter a userid and password. Not true for all sites, but it's broken for most of the ones that worked fine in 10.3.1.

I tested autofill on this site, where it always worked before. Worked fine.

I have had no issues yet, will keep all posted and will watch out for the root problem mentioned above.

10.3.2 booted up on the Pismo just fine. Waiting for "Optimization" to finish on the Sawtooth, then I am going to throw the rest of my RAM back in and see if the GeForce 4 compatability bug has been fixed (since the notes did indicate new NVIDIA drivers...).

Crossing fingers...

A list of all of the files updated in 10.3.2:

»prwdot.org/bom_1032.txt

You can get it yourself by running:

lsbom /Library/Receipts/MacOSXUpdate10.3.2.pkg/Contents/Archive.bom

in Terminal.

Just booted the Sawtooth back up with the GeForce4 MX in and 640 megs of ram, and the Sawtooth+GeForce bug is FIXED!

Yay! Thank you, Apple. Maybe you do care after all!

Does anyone else feel that things are slower after doing the update? It is taking twice as long to launch Safari now after the update.

Things seemed a little sluggish to me immediately after my first reboot, but it got better quickly.

Are you doing a "repair permissions" after the update? It may help...

Nope. Safari is the same speed. It may be my imagination, but M$ Word, which was a little sluggish so far under Panther, is a little faster.

Yes I repaired permissions and still it now takes Safari 3 bounces to open vs 1.5 bounces before.
