You say "any windows" but are you sure you're not just talking about XP? Surely you are!

@aol.com		 If you have the Voyager modem you should have 2 arrows on the taskbar (bottom right hand side of screen); they should be green if the modem works.

I was on ME and I had them and now on XP I have them.
