Digital cam help

My buddy got this digital cam it's a bell-howell model bh22.The problem he's having is when he puts in the installation disc it says needs 98se to run but the requirements said he only needs 98 which he has.Any ideas before I go over his house to take a look at the problem?

You will most likely have to check the BH web site for a possible driver update. There is a big difference between how 98 & 98SE handle pnp devices.

The problem is he is paying more attention to the box which says one thing, that some marketing exec approved who may know nothing about computers.
Versus the install disc which was written by somone who definitely knows computers (and the difference between WIN 98 and 98SE)
I bet I know which one is right.

He should complain to the maker or seller if there was confusion, but probably it's not going to work unless he upgrades.
A good option may be to get a memory card reader, very cheap after rebates and faster too, then he probably won't have to do anything (assuming the reader can work woth 98). OOPS, just read up on the camera, no removable memory. He may be SOL and have to upgrade afterall.

Yeah I looked all over the sites I could find pertaining to that camera and it's looks like a pretty shady camera anyways.I can't even find a driver for that model,I e-mailed the compant and no response yet.
