Tweak..

I use a laptop as my primary computer. I recently purchased and connected a new Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless Router and using a Wireless-B notebook adapter and noticed a slight speed drop.

Give this a try:

Download DrTcp
Set Tcp Receive Window to 64240
Set Windows Scaling, Time Stamping, Selective Acks, Path MTU Discovery, Black Hole Detection to Default.
Leave Max Duplicate Acks and TTL Blank
Save/Exit DrTcp
Reboot
Rerun both the tweaks test and speed test from the nearest city listed here: Speakeasy POPs
