Re: Toshiba & Terajet Cable Modem Users

Bottom line is that there is no real-wold difference between the three MODEMS or the speeds that you got.

ive had pcx2200 ...pcx2600 and now using the optimum voice sbv4200.

from experience
pcx 2200-max out 8500-8800
pcx2600 max out 9000-9400
sbv 9200-9500

bichon coulnt be more right .. well if you have a 10mb wan port router then stick with your toshiba once you change your router or stop switch to a surfboard unless you wanna pay for a toshiba 2600

There's no good reason to switch from a Toshiba/Terajet to a SB.

Yeah I said I meant I may consider testing out a SB, didn't say I will keep it..Just want to test it out for myself, there's nothing wrong with that since it's free from CV anyway.

Bobcat is correct. Your gain if any will get lost in the dust.

There is no real difference between the three MODEMs. If you keep what you have just get a wireless "G" router and card, and you're all set to go.

I know you did not ask, but ... when I switched to the SB4200, the OOL Speed Test was about 1.05 to 1.15 and the UL was also about the same.

Well it's good to know information but my concern is with the Toshiba and Terajets because I have a 10Mbit WAN Port Router and those are the only cable modems that can get full speeds through my router, I might switch to wireless sometime in the next 3 months and then I'll consider a SB.
