Nod 32 & BullGuard Together???

Hi,

I am puzzled by this page -

I haven't read anything bad about Nod 32. All the comments I have seen have been positive. Not so with BullGuard -

»BULLGUARD anti-virus protection?

&

»www.pestpatrol.com/PestI ··· Overview

So does anyone have an insight why BullGuard got added to a page that appears to belong to eset?

Best Regards,

Pretty simple answer, I think.

nod-32.com is a domain owned by someone completely unrelated to Eset. A whois search shows it's someone named "Goran Gluck".

You'll note his link to buy NOD32 contains a referral code, so he can get paid for his referrals.

Still, the domain name is arguably a case of cybersquatting. But if Eset is okay with it...

So anyway, he's independent, and happens to sell (or refer actually) more than one product.

Looks to be identical to a situation covered over at the OutPost forum

»www.outpostfirewall.com/ ··· did=8991

Same registrant according to a Whois. I assume similar circumstances involved (registered reseller, etc.)

Nice catch, bluezanetti ! Corroborating evidence.

You'd think the companies wouldn't want to do business with people squatting on their domain name variants. Oh well.

At least "nod-32.com" does NOT show up in the first 25 pages of Google hits for a search on "nod32"...
