 Constant Out-of-Syncs

I just got my Brighthouse RR on the 22nd and since initial hook up I've been getting constant drop outs from sync. No matter of what cable in the house is feeding the modem...

Now the house is all RG6 and before I got service a contractor ran a brand new drop from the node to my house. Also yesterday I hooked the modem up directly to the cable feeding the splitter outside directly off the node and the drops outs where still there, so the issue is not inside wiring.

Does anyone know what could cause this? Also the out-of-syncs are very frequent at least every 30 seconds or so... constant.

Please post the signal levels from your modem's status pages. We'll see what we can do.

By the way, your coax connects to a tap, not the node.

ModemToshiba DOCSIS 1.0 Cable Modem ; HW_REV: 19.0.0; VENDOR: Toshiba Corporation; BOOTR: 1.7; SW_REV: 1.0.13; MODEL: PCX2600

System up time = 1 days 02h 36m 47.00s
Downstream channel frequency = 699000000 Hz
Downstream received signal power = 2.8 dBmV
Upstream channel frequency = 29488000 Hz
SigQu: Signal to Noise Ratio = 33.3 dB
Cable modem status = Time of day established
Upstream transmit signal power = 33.6 dBmV

Here are stats. Also the tech just came and left without much assurance... she claimed that this area wasn't fully finished and didn't get a final "sweep" or tweaking of the nodes. She put a work order in and said tat it should be fully resolved within 72 business hours. Yet still what could cause such frequent out-of-syncs?? I mean over and over???

The node may not be fully hooked up yet, so hang tight...:p

Out of syncs meaning the modem's "cable" light goes out and re connects within 20 seconds or so.

I'm hanging Balla but the consistency of the drops are very very bummer... hopefully it'll be fixed by the week's end.
