Show Hits for FAQ Entries

I would like to see the hits a day (or week/month) on each FAQ entry. I think only the FAQ creators/maintainers need to see this info, since unbold/bolded FAQs are good enough for users.

For example: What is DC++? (27/341)

27 being the hits in the past 24 hours
341 being the total number of hits since creation.

p.s. DSLR not allow one to post HTML code that changes the size smaller than size 3 or lockout certain colors?

Statistically speaking, I more inclined to favor more stats rather than less.

sign* I requested something similar to this before. If not public these stats should be viewable to the FAQ owners.

Would help FAQ owners in eliminataing items that are never viewed, and pay more attention to those that are heavily used. Would be useful in identifying items that could be split out into new, separate sections. Good idea, especially if easy to implement.

perhaps make it obvious so when people glance over it they will see that thousands of people have already viewed it, and perhaps are therefore more likely to read it.

I can see the benefit of FAQ owners knowing the traffic for their info. As dbmaven See Profile pointed out already, it could help determine which FAQ's are beneficial and would provide incentive to keep them updated. It would also show which FAQ's might need to be revisited for their usefulness.

I would really like to see this feature instituted. With so many FAQ entries throughout the site, it would help a great deal to see which ones were being viewed regularly, especially with an eye toward keeping those updated. Similarly, it would be good to see those that weren't getting traffic. If nothing else, it would aid in prioritizing those areas where there were multiple topics under one heading.

Just to clarify, I'm signing the original suggestion that the stats are visible to the FAQ authors, and not generally.

It will let FAQ authors concentrate their efforts on the most-trafficked areas of their FAQ, let them decide where their time is best spent.
