Davenport, FL | [Help] jv16 won't run! Okay, I'm still using jv16 powertools 1.3 (the last free one), and now today it seems that it doesn't want to run. I just keep getting an error saying that "this appears to be old. please go to our site to download a newer one."
Do I have to pay to keep using this software now?

Well, I just tried mine, and got the same message.
Must have had a built-in timer, to go off New Year's Day. 
Guess I'll use Regseeker now. |

Could be an "anti-piracy" mechanism built-in, even with the last free version. Oh well, it was a decent proggie, guess I, too, will rely on RegSeeker. |

Same thing out here in CA where it just turned 2004 ... {{~sigh~}} .. no more jv16PT. Happy New Year, Everybody! I guess all good things must come to an end!  |

Same here. I guess all my backups are toast. Would have been nice to have a warning about this!
If this ploy is supposed to make me shell out $29.95 for JV's latest bug-ridden version, then somebody must be dreaming. Plenty of freeware registry cleaners up for grabs; a number of them better than JV16 PT.
Guess it's time to hit the search button and start re-reading all those threads that start, "Hey, what's the best registry cleaner..." |

Regcleaner 4.3 Build 780 is still available (this was the last release prior to switching to the Powertools) and it doesn't have this popup. coreys27  has provided a link to it.

Reg seeker or Reg clean., or are there somethings better.
Perhaps i just buy it, but i dunno yet.
