Just used the nVidia system utility so that I didn't have to reboot, even.

Good job buddy. Now you need to buy yourself a DFI board and run that mem up to 225 and get yourself a seat with the 3.5k group.

With a DFI you should be aiming for 4k not 3.5k

Lets have the kid take baby steps. 3.5k is still by no means a cakewalk.

And I'm only working w/ CH-5 PC3500 here. Don't know if this RAM could hit 4k even if I tried.

Though right now, that 3.8b3 is looking even more tempting... hopefully to bring me to 200+.

Actually, I was in the regular 3k club already... just showing that I managed to eke out a little more to be able to get into it (meaning, that I didn't have to run the machine bare for this current screenshot anymore ).

The 3k under 200 though is new for me, and I am glad that hte efficiency of this board is starting to get better. It's a very slow burner, but it seems to be improving with age - much like fine wine.

Sucks that there are very few options to work with in the reference BIOS though like being able to disable the Super Stability mode, and disabling both COM ports. Thankfully the modded BIOS takes care of that.

Right now I have the SysCrusher 3.8b3 BIOS flashed onto this board and doing 9.5x 202 at the moment... going to try to work it in slow and see if I can at least get to this HyperX's stock speed.

I also have to keep in mind the "2GHz cap" if I want to keep overclocking at low volts, so it's going to take some math work to figure out when I need to change multi's so that I can stay at or below 2Ghz. Anything above, and I'll need more Vcore to the CPU so that Prime95 would stop its rancid bitching at me. If I had a prommy or something, I wouldn't mind turning up Vcore, but given that this is still on air, I want to keep that heat low because it only seems to get worse between each time I take apart the system to dust it out. So for maintenance reasons ( so that I don't have to maintain it so often), Keeping it @ 1.60Vcore in BIOS (1.65 effective) and 2GHz or below will be my goal.

Make it a 12pck of triple black smirnoffs and you got company

3500 was an easy walk with my 8rga+ & 1700tbred, which is now, my neice's comp ( her birthday present ).

if that is what ya really want, add the 8rga+ on your wishlist

Yeah I thought you were already in the 3k club but good work is good work. Keep working on it hope to see ya at 3.5K.

When I first tried to get to 3.5k there was no way with this kt333 board so I just ran it for many months then tried again and I got it up to 233fsb...best I could do before was 223fsb it wouldn't boot at 225 no matter what I did.

What about the 8RDA3+ and 8RDA3I ? Those seem to be the ones that Newegg is selling now.

Sure, I could try to get the DFI NF2 Infinity board and try for closer to 4k, but if I can get 3500 from this MSI, I'll be stoked as all hell.
