Re: [DSL] Optimizing my dsl, resolving stability issues

Please post the URL in the red box of the Line Quality result page (question #3). The one you posted shows me my results.

Your download speed : 1258813 bps, or 1258 kbps.
A 153.6 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 316831 bps, or 316 kbps.

It says I should raise my MTU to 1500. Should I ignore that?

That looks like all we're going to be able to do on the Tweak. We shoot for 80-85% of the "advertised speed" and you're at 84% now.

Stability during games is largely caused by "internet weather". There are a lot of routers out there that are overloaded by the various virii/trojans/worms and just can't handle the traffic all the time. If you look at the Line Quality plots, the 2 red bars in the EC plot and the 2 holes in the WC plot show what that looks like.

WinXP can't get above 1480 with the native PPPoE code. You have good speed, so just ignore that.
