To remove NewNet with the remover from the same co

Dear friends

How safe is it to remove NewNet with the remover from the same company? I don’t believe in these companies and therefore my question. I am sure that it removes NewNet so that it looks like everything is away, but is everything away? When the experts look into a HijackThis-log and they discover NewNet, why don’t they use the remover from NewNet?

Best

Re: To remove NewNet with the remover from the sam

If a company has the courtesy to provide an uninstaller it says they have a little class. So go ahead and use it. That being said, it is wise to scan your machine with a good spyware detection and removal program like Spybot S&D or Adaware to finish the job. Always nice to follow-up with a anti-trojan/anti-virus scan for that nice fresh feeling. Like Ronny Reagan said- "Trust- but verify!"

I agree with the response from seaman See Profile. Run there uninstaller first and then follow that up with Ad-Aware and Spybot. Also, some of these programs appear in Add/Remove and if so, that should be run first then followed up with Ad-Aware/Spybot.

NewDotNet Description:

And a note of caution about removal:
quote:
A botched manual removal can result in you losing your network connection. Be very careful.
These instructions from NewDotNet work quite well. (It looks like Pest Patrol copied their instructions from it)
