Logitech MouseWare 9.79.1 Build 25 Released

Link is for MX700 Cordless, but nearly all of Logitech's mice use the same software.

Whats the best way to upgrade logitech mouse drivers? Load over the top? Or go to device manager and un-install first?

MouseWare
Keizer, I installed the new MouseWare over the top of v9.79.019. Working just fine so far.

Any ideas as to what is improved or fixed?

Not a clue. Precious little on the website and nothing in the readme file.

They've had quite a number of new builds that had no differences over the previous ones. No changes in the settings, no changes in the readme... I think they just change the number to excite people.

That's BS. They always fixed something. In the latest release, they fixed a rather big issue, which was that some people using their drivers had slow computer shutdown times. I was affected at some point but not when they came out. Anyways, I would've highly appreciated that driver pack if I had it back when I was affected by the problem. They also added more configurable button options for their keyboards with the latest release. I'll try to find out what's new in this one.

MoeRL, what caused slow shut down times? Logitechs mouseware drivers, or their keyboard drivers?

Good question. I don't remember. One of the two.

Personally, I have an MX500 and love it! However, after loading the Logitech drivers I couldn't use my scroll in many of my games. Sticking with the default XP drivers has worked out for the better.

Yeah, I just reformatted this weekend and still thinking if I'll install the mouseware drivers...probably not. The default drivers has been running great!

I have an MX500 too and love it to death. I have no doubt that it's the best computer mouse that has ever been made

I use their drivers and they work fine. I like to use the thumb buttons in games

The mouseware drivers work great with my MX700 cordless mouse. It was the Logitech keyboard drivers that I had problems with awhile back. I have been using the XP drivers ever since.

I'm using both Logitech's mouse and keyboard drivers and am not experiencing any problems right now.
