I am sorry for this silly question but it is one I hae not figured out yet. I often get "booted" out of yahoo chatrooms when my opinions clash with anyone that has the code necessary to disconnect me or flood my memory with hundreds of pop-ups.. though I would love to zap them back, I don't really think it is an intelligent gesture/
Is there a virtual condom I can use to proctect myself from these attacks while still allowing me to fully access the CHAT features.

Another option that is free is to utilise YahELite instead of yahoo messenger I use it and its really cool and do not get booted . »www.customcodes.com/deep/yahelite/

Thank you very much. Why doesn't one of the geniuses at yahoo fix this goofy stuff. I am beginning to think they monitor the rooms and simply kill threats to the harmony in a room. But if that is the case, then they open themselves up to all sorts of liability stuff. defamation stuff.
... and as long as I am here-- are there any interesting details I should know about WEP, I do not know much about the relative merits of implementing it. But I am competent enough to configure just about anything.

Sure it does, but if some people still enjoy using the chat rooms, Chet's little prog will keep them as safe as they can possibly be.
Not "everything" in chat is dark, ugly and evil.

Possibly because like me , some one may not want to spend $19 usa on some thing that some thing else can do for free,or they nay not have $19 to sopend on some thing that they perhaps may only use now and again . |
