233Mhz seems to get just over 2Meg down vs. the 3-4 the 2Ghz XP gets. |

Of course they should, but many won't. They don't want their customers to know their actual speeds. When they get crappy results from an off-network speed test, the ISP can just blame it on that site. When it's on the ISP's network, there's nobody to blame but the ISP. |

| How's this for a speed result?
Download = 1168 Upload = 2235 (Yes, that's right, Upload).
Of course I'm not really at home on the WOW network. I'm at a hotel at Walt Disney World. If only I had something big that I needed to upload that fast.

| reply to Jeremy341 True WOW is very fast and cheaper than RR , at leat here in Columbus, Ohio. There is a new service being tested in England over the telephone service that well out perform any cable company here in America. The sad part is it was developed here in the U.S. with yours and mine tax dollars. So by the time it gets back here to America well pay like some private company invinted it. Opps and now the Electric companies have the green light to get into the ISP via the powerlines. LOL ...This is going to be great to see how it all pans out. But I tendint to bend towards the wireless sector myself.
Just one mans thoughts. XBYTE |
