Can he ping the upstream router? Check "winipcfg" and/or "ipconfig /all" and make sure the IP address and subnet mask is what it should be. Sound like he might not be getting an IP address from the DHCP if the client is so configured. |

Well, OK. First go to a command prompt and type "ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" (without the quotes). the x's are the ip address of the router. Then, go to a command prompt again and type "ipconfig /all" (without the quotes). Take a screen shot and post it to the forum so we can see what you have. |
