| Cisco ubr924 Provisioning!
Hope this is an ok spot to post. I am trying to get a cisco ubr924 provision through comcast, they support the ubr925 and another ubr model as well. How hard is it to get a modem not currently supported provisioned? Can I do this with out having the modem provisioned? Who to contact and am I fighting a lost cause? Any help would be much appreciated!

| If you are in a ex-attbi area it shouldn't matter. If your in a Legacy comcast area your basically going to have to lie unless you believe the rep is willing to work with you.
Tell then you have a 905 or a 925, the configuration files are exactly the same and currently firmware is not pushed at all for 905's or 925's so you don't have to worry about any invalid image messages being generated. -- Forum Posts:3504 |

| HI Qumahlin,
I am also new comcast customer wanting to install ubr924. What is the reqular process to change modem?
I try to ask comcast they ask me to plug new modem in then go to »sas.r1.attbi.com then this web site will get my MAC automatic and registed.
But I have try. After I put modem in my modem cannot lock to comcast frequency. I have try so many kind of config. I also erase all nvram to get default config, I changed IOS. I got this message from "debug cable-modem mac log"
1d23h: 171710.736 CMAC_LOG_DS_NO_QAM_FEC_LOCK 626750000 1d23h: 171711.972 CMAC_LOG_DS_NO_QAM_FEC_LOCK 627750000
This message keeps coming and never stop. I have left it for one night.
A lot of people tell me, I should call comcast and ask them to put my MAC in to their list. I try to do it tomorrow. But I still doubt because last time I change my modem I just use website. And I afraid that my modem may be broken. |
