Site Help → "Users" name

I just noticed a "users" name and link at the bottom right of one of my posts. Just curious as to what this is? I cleaned up my IM's but don't remember seeing this if that's what it indicates.

Someone gave you a "Thumbs Up"! for your post.

ps. Only you and that person can see it. It's a private "attaboy"!

You can click in the upper left menu which brings you to your "Posts and Replies" page.

By clicking on the tab labeled "voted posts" you can see any of your posts that have been given "encouragement" by another member.

May I also ask a relevant question to this thread or start my own???

If it relates to the initial topic, sure, ask it in this one.

Thanks Subtle - I just clued into the 'thumbs up - voted posts - is there a hospitable way to handle these - like a thank you - or just for info??

If someone gives you a thumbs up there is no need for you to do anything.

Then again a simple IM to the person saying thanks would be fine too.

actually, his name is fatness. subtle is his posting tag, just a little something you can customise on your posts.

I put a BIG yellow sticky on my notebook. It says, Read the FAQ's and no flirting with Fatness
