How sad to think that men and women who worked hard all their lives have to worry about this. Imagine being over 60 and living off a little more the $700/month, I have no idea what their Canada Pension amounts to. This money was promised to them and they have planned their retirement years on this. To be told at their age it may be cut in half is incredible.
Great now we could have a bunch of senior citizens pumping gas to make ends meet. Oh I am sure a few of them had other investments.
We can either help them meet their pension requirements or we can pay them on welfare. Either way no one can live of 1/2 that pension.
