Would entering alternate DNS's solve a problem such as this? Last week Comcast was down in my area one morning because i could not establish find a DNS. If I had used the ones listed above, should I have been able to connect?

join:2003-02-09		 Broadband connection was green as can be, but it couldn't find a valid DNS. I'll have to save these for an emergency.
