| They try hard but fail....
Well, I am on hold right now..... Probably hour number 14 that I have spent with this issue.
I moved in to a house built in 1952 recenetly and got service with Verizon since they are my phone co. After about a month I finially go the office together and called in the get the PPoE setting and it DHCP wee! The first person I spoke with was a customer service super star, really great!
Then comes trouble on day 2 My modem won't sink up reliably and the speed tests at 2wire and this site tell me that when it does I'm getting speeds from 75k to 750k.
I have had a service tech out to check my house wiring and that's not it. We checked the pole to the house and that's not it. We checked the local switch to the house and that's not it........ Verizon checked their net and that's not it. Ahhhh it's their provider and they change something called a "DSLAM" and wow I can connect again!!!!
and their was much rejoicing!
BUT WAIT! My connection blows goats! Speed tests now show speeds from 19K to 130K. And add some packet loss to that and I am not a happy man.
Sorry Verizon. If this issue is not resolved I will take my business elsewhere.
