Keep in mind that Apple and the RIAA are partners in the iTMS...without the buy-in from the RIAA, there wouldn't be a iTMS.

Keep in mind that Apple and the RIAA are partners in the iTMS...without the buy-in from the RIAA, there wouldn't be a iTMS.
I think the more accurate statement is that Apple and the big 5 major record companies are partners. the RIAA is a trade association which represents the interests of it's members, in this case the 5 major record companies. RIAA doesn't make money directly off of record sales. RIAA gets it's money from the dues and what ever other funding it's members provide. |
