I am not sure if it could be found. Aztech doesn't like the public /customers to have their firmwares.

Ah... maybe you could try asking in dxpose.com's forum. I got my unofficial firmware for 900eb2 from there. I don't know about 305EU but 305E itself you need to take off the casing to flash because the serial hole for flashing is hidden within the board.

305EU is the model that has usb as well I believe. And no you can't update 305E itself unless you open the casing, the hidden flashing serial port is within the board close up by Aztech to avoid flashing.

well since a lot of people want the firmware i'm gonna put it up but i will bear no responsibility if u fry ur modem. this firmware is made by Amigo(first maker of adsl modem using this chip). basicly this is the base firmware for conexant chip 82310-14 used in the aztech dsl 305eu. u will gain more settings that telekom and aztech locked in the firmware and this modem connects faster but i will not guarantee the firmware is bug free. theres is several steps need to be taken so do it step by step. this guide is only for those who have dead modem or need more function from the modem. and u need to open the modem plastic case to flash so it'll void ur warranty. think carefully before deciding to do this

ok now comes the guide. u need to first open up your modem. remove the black rubber on the bottom of the modem your find the screws use normal philips screwdriver. ok, next u will need the usb cable that comes with the modem. U need preferbly an old Pc that have the speed of less that 900mhz with at least 1 free usb port. next u need 1 jumper. any old jumpers from any old dead hdd or any pc stuff that have jumpers. once u open up the modem . u will see the chip name access runner 82310 - 14 . flip the pcb over . on the bottom of the pcb near the usb port there should be a sticker take a pen and write down the mac address provided on a piece of paper. next flip the pcb back and u will see next to a sticker thats on a chip that states your firmware version u will find a jumper. put the jumper on it. plug in the usb cable to the usb port on the modem. and connect the cable to your pc, now turn on your modem and then turn on your pc, boot the pc into clean dos mode, either use win startup disk and choose minimal boot or try other boot disks. when u got into dos prompt, go to the folder where u extracted the first file i uploaded just now. type this into the dos promp: "rm_usb" . the program should load and in a while the program will ask for the start mac address, type in the mac address u jotted down from the bottom of the modem just now with the format XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX. next the program will ask for the end mac address, type in the same address except for the last four byte. change those to ff-ff example in the program. next the flash program will flash to the eprom. the program will quit but notice that ur modem usb led is flashing . wait for the flashing to stop and change to on only. and then u power off and re power on the modem. u have now recover the modem to the default firmware. next step i will teach u to update to latest firmware

next u can update to the latest firmware that i uploaded. the second file. go to ur ie and browse to 10.0.0.2 it'll prompt for username and password . it is now changed to username: admin
password: password

browse to code image upload. browse to the .dlf file that is in the zip file i uploaded. and click upload. after successfully uploading the new firmware. the modem will reboot and u now have successfully revive and update ur modem to the latest firmware from conexant. if u want i think u would upload the default firmware from aztech but i have not tested that so i don't really know if that can be done. try it and tell me if u are successful if u did do that. for everyone convenience i will now put in the user guide for this modem too. see you all and good luck in your attempt in reviving ur modem. any Questions ask me. and oh after flashing the usb will keep flashing even if no usb cable is attached. when usb cable is attached the usb light will be keep lighted.

Hey excellent tutorial you have there. Thanks !!Keep up that good job.
One question, can you write a guide on how to 305e as well? Can I use an old serial cable for it?What are the commands to flash it if i am using a serial cable?
The mother of all modems which the Prolink 9000P,Aztech 305E series,Cnet and a few other are absed on this OEM model from Connexant AMX-CA61E(305E) and AMX-CA64E(305eu)

Hmm for the plain ethernet 305e version you should type c:\xx\rm instead of C:\xx\rm_usb right?
