| Abit NF7-s + XP2600 speed problem
I run 1 stick of (512mb) Geil PC3200, my memory and cpu scores in all benchmark programs seem very low, in sisoft sandra my CPU arithmetic results are 5200/2200, very low. Mem scores are 1850/1730, mem bandwith efficiency was 61%. I even overcloked it to 2200mhz with a 11x200FSB and hardly any improvement. Any ideas? All latest drivers installed, bios tweaked like crazy. Would running 1 stick of memory instead of running 2 in dual mode make this big a difference? Oh and with my Radeon 9800pro even when the CPU was overclocked I got a score of 11200.

| it ran 333 or 400mhz fsb, until about an hour ago when it totally died, for a couple of days its been getting slower and slower, then tonight it finally died. I wasnt even running it overclocked. I tryed clearing the CMOS, it doesnt even give me a bios screen or anything. Monitor just sits in standby. Dont know if its the CPU or mobo, soon as I get my Tax money im getting a Barton 2500, new NF7-S along with dual sticks of mem. Not that I can afford to waste my tax money on this but I have no choice. |
