| Don't download toolbars
And this is why I do not download toolbars of any kind. All of these add-ons have the potential of auto-installing spyware, adware, or malware. I like Internet Explorer (deride me if you will) and I can live with the occasional pop-up of which 99% I close without looking at anyway. -- Sign the petition to sell TechTV to Comcast

Well you'll be happy to know that when Windows XP SP2 comes out, IE will have a built-in popup blocker. |

| reply to mbernste Good call. Don't download toolbars.
I too use IE, I too an happy with it, it does what I need with little drama. I just don't have the time to go configuring everything in another browser, one that does not work properly at every site I visit.
Integrated p/u blocker will be nice though! -- I killed all of your ugly smilies! Plain text smilies for me! |

what about the popups that are based on malicious code? (yes, they *do* make these.)
mine never changed, but i don't reboot very often either.
considering the fact that they do this on their page every holiday it isn't a huge shocker. anyone ever consider that maybe the code just links back to the image and it reflects whatever's there? |
