Two years later Intel (P3) update shows on WU

kringles join:2000-11-05 Jasper, GA Reviews: ·Windstream 1 edit	Two years later Intel (P3) update shows on WU Regularly visit the Windows Update site and just noticed an update listed under 'Drivers' that never showed up before. It was for 'Intel Processor Software Update' dated over two years ago (27 January 2002) for the P3 processor (which I got with this PC in Jan 2000). Anybody know what this update does and know why it popped up supposedly two years after issued? Update - might have been too quick to post this, ran WU again and the Intel driver update did not show up this time?

kringles join:2000-11-05 Jasper, GA 1 edit	Steve - they did not list anything detailed other than the hardware compatibility (P3), release date (27 Jan 2002) and size (32 KB). Did not install it and when I ran WU again it did not show up. Will update this thread if I can get any more info.

kringles join:2000-11-05 Jasper, GA	XP Pro with all service packs and security updates applied. XP Pro has been installed on this PC since its release in 2001.

Thanks! *************************************** Don't try to install it, it is over two years old. Your existing driver is probably newer than that. *******************************************
