Almost the same problem here but on WinMe. I get repeat updates from the Windows Media Player 9 auto updates notification.

[WinMe PC with all updates]
After updating Windows Media Player 9 (when it notifies me updates are available) I install the update without a problem, reboot, launch media player and have it check for updates again and it shows updates are available again. It appears it wants to download the same update (by the size of the update--1M) again. I've installed this update 3 or four times with the same results.
What's going on?
BTW:This doesn't happen on our WinXP Home PC, only on our WinMe PC. |

Grosse Ile, MI | Come to think of it, my trouble also started AFTER I installed mediaplayer 9. I hope there is a solution to this. Perhaps just removing Mediaplayer 9.0 is the answer? |

I've had MP9 for a long time. The problem just started with this update that was originally put out a couple weeks ago. I've als post to the MS newsgroup. |

OK, I got the same update again today. I'm getting the same stupid update every day. This all started after I installed Media Player 9.0. Is this happening to anyone else?? |

Pulse, (a client for Project Dolphin - which is basically a keyboard keystroke counter and there are teams from forums and they add up everyone's keystroke for each team -rather stupid really) Mailwasher, Norton System Doctor, MSN Messenger (show offline), Norton AV, ZA (freebie) showing activity and time (;)) |
