Have You Checked Here Before Posting

We are going to try something new for awhile and see how this goes. Please check this thread before posting your "find" to see if your URL is a popular post ...or truly something new. You can find favorites here: »/forum/deeplin···=alltime

If you have checked there and still feel you have a link that has been posted over and over in this forum ...

Instant Message Me with:

1) The url
2) A description of the site (please keep it brief)
3) Two examples of posts with the same link in the last 30 days. (Urls of the post only please)

I will take the URL only and post it here so that users in this forum can check to see if their "finds" are new.

If you do not put your request in the 1/2/3 order it will be ignored. Thanks for understanding but I am not going to do an archaeological dig each day. I personally do not mind the re-posts...I however do mind the constant flaming when a user posts one... hopefully this thread will help out a bit...please be considerate. Thank you.

• Include a description with each link that you post...We want to know what we are getting ourselves into!
• Let's keep the utterly graphic to a minimum...(hint) Road kill is not acceptable...
• Porn links are not allowed (really... we mean it!)
• Be kind to your fellow users -- not everyone is as wise as you are!
• Politics -- leave them at the door ... unless of course you have a sense of humor...that clip of senator slipping on a banana peel is hysterical*
• Reposting -- hey ...sometimes it happens... not the end of the world ... take a deep breath ... move along..
• ANONYMOUS POSTING - really not necessary in here ... unless you are a Secret Agent and you are changing the world with the news you have been keeping to your self - all Anon Posts are subject to instant removal no questions asked - so if you feel you must post anonymously please make sure it is something you would post even if you were wearing your nametag!

(Clip does not exist - don't ask for it)

DO NOT OPEN A THREAD BY POSTING A PHOTO FOR DISCUSSION-- ie..."look isn't this a neat photo" ...hint...do you need a highspeed connection to view it? if so ...then throw them on a page and put the link in the post (this keeps the wait factor to a minimum when trying to load directly from our site)...if not ...then please refrain from posting it.

Please do not post any pages from " test your IQ , your Aunt Marvie's latest receipe page, or 101 things to do with a dust bunny links" ... there are other forums for those fabulous finds!

So...now that we have all of that out of the way ... queue the action and enjoy the Broadband!!! Cheers!

It has been gently suggested on numerous occasions that you should add a description of why you think a particular link is interesting, funny, disturbing etc. There are too many posts where members are not respecting this request ... so now we are adding this directive to the rules.

Simply posting a link with ONLY a Subject line without any description and/or your opinion in the body of your post will be subject to a lock (at best)or a post "poof".

Why are we doing this? We want to keep this forum fun -- interesting and not a dumping ground for YouTubee links. You may post something from YouTube -- but add a description of the link - and if possible what you thought about it.

Thank you to all of the members who really do scour the ends of the internet ... do not fall off... and return with some real finds to share!

REMINDER: This is NOT a DEBATE forum!! There is no way any one forum can be all things to all people. THIS forum is meant to be for FUN ! On occasion a serious discussion is allowed as long as all the parties keep their tempers in check. But as the NORM debate is discouraged. There are other forums on this site where serious debate is not only allowed but encouraged.

"Drive by Postings" i.e. posting news links with no description and little description other then "hey look at this"... is discouraged.
