To be "100%" safe never switch on your computer and burn it.

To be as much as possible secure (to tend toward 100% without to be 100%) you will need many software, i let people advice you on which to install.

think mainly to : Anti-Virus, Anti-Trojans, Anti-Spyware, Firewall, Sandboxe, and also process protection (i only know Process Guard).

You can do more than that, but at least begin after we'll see
